About Last Night…

Characters:

My Id, a.k.a. Iggy = “Punk Mary Poppins”. Covered in piercings and tattoos, hair amess pulled up-ish by binder clips and rubber bands that she stole from CC, manically happy, over-caffeinated, monster energy drink vibe, child-like, will write on anything about anything but especially political satire on post it notes, likes any music you can dance to but especially if the drums run the show, poly af, loves everything and everyone in the world like they’re family, accepts payment in food, is that a skirt or is it a curtain fashioned into a skirt? where did the curtains even come from? what is organization and does it go good on toast?

*

My Super-Ego, a.k.a. CC = “Bizagoth/Business Goth,” very dad-like, all-black suit or dress with blazer, spreadsheets on spreadsheets, analytical, tired bookkeeper vibes, Iggy makes her want to put whiskey in her coffee vibes that she takes with as little sugar as possible, dark makeup with hair perfectly pinned up, my cerebral structured self, ambitious af and driven towards narrative form, probably haunted, rather dark, if the music isn’t loud it isn’t music because it has to scream for me so I don’t have to, sapiosexual af, takes payment in cash you dumbfucks WTF is wrong with you?

*

My Ego, a.k.a. Melody = “Hippie Priestess vibes,” motherhood incarnate, doesn’t talk muych but when she does its about nature or philosophy or love, often writes in haiku/senryu/micro-poetry form, keeps it short and pretty, hates that Iggy dyes her hair as she prefers it all natural and down, likes to hang poetry on clothesline while nude, doesn’t believe in ownership and doesn’t care for money, monogamous at her core as her partner is for life but they’re prone to their separate passions too (within reason of course), obssessed with Vilvaldi and Chopin, enjoys anything with a cello or piano in it, occasionally enjoys smooth jazz or the blues when the mood is just right, likes to go with the flow of things, is she dressed or is that mud? is that even coffee or is it a potion? (Note: is wandering outside humming to herself during this installment, otherwise not shown)

Setting: A kitchen bistro style table with three chairs. CC sits with laptop and coffee on the table, Iggy paces around inspecting random shit in the kitchen as she goes

Iggy – So about last night…

CC – What did we do?

Iggy – Nothing bad per se

CC – Okay…

Iggy – we wrote like 3-4 poems riffing off with two different epically talented and beautiful women

CC – not bad, I approve. What else?

Iggy – We told at least half a dozen people we loved them

CC – Seriously? Again?

Iggy – in a sorority sisterhood sort of way, not the way you’re thinking. Don’t worry, I learned my lesson, this time.

CC – When you say don’t worry…

Iggy – Oh and apparently we’re gunna build an e-zine thing. It’s gunna be fire!!!

CC – We’ve never done that before, we don’t know what we’re doing, what if —

Iggy – Meh, if we can read it then we can learn it. We’ll figure it out. Worst thing that could happen is people don’t buy it. So what. It’ll be fun.

CC – Fuck. Guess I’m learning how to build a zine then. Anything else? *starts looking up how to do an e-zine*

Iggy – We had fantastic sex

CC – mind blowing obviously, or I’d remember it. That everything?

Iggy – we ate some banger ass tacos till midnight

CC – Explains why I’m so tired. Well if that’s all, I must get organized. *grabs a Tums and washes it down with coffee because that makes total sense and doesn’t cancel each other out at all*

Iggy – *hides brochures for pricing places to go skydiving locally*

Iggy – Absolutely nothing else…
