Journals from the Fey Realm: Night 2

Rogue sky, silk ripples
eyes open to such wonders,
to be alive now…

I am the glade mind
as I look upon sea-faced
stranger, prism lit.

His eyes captured my
form uncovered languidly
laying at his feet

A few winged fairies
feigning modesty, hiding
my body’s valley.

Knowing smiles grace
he knelt, white robe elegance
in his hands for me.

Speaking little more
than whispers, my journey had
only just begun.

He half-carried me
thru the open lighthouse door
a few feet away.

My face familiar
to him, like souls greeting past
lives reunited.

Ocean waves furrowed
mirth tidal pooled, gleamed and warmed
his face out to sea.

He explained to me
I am a deviant, both
present and apart

here, but to return
home is a mystery solved
by heart’s true purpose.

Guest of the keeper,
I stayed awhile counting
planets in crimson

skies fading to night
embrace, tides rise and recede
sirens sing offshore.

I learn what morning
will bring, the next path to walk
in the journey home
